This piece was inspired by my current fascination with rabbits and hares. From remembering Watership Down, to the pets I had as a child. They are overlooked and quite complex animals.
This sculpt is based on some scribbles, taking common features and abstracting them down somewhat - I took cues from Folk and Scandinavian art
I hope that he gives anyone owning him some pleasure and joy.

This is my kitsch folk themed rabbit.
I have kept to an abstract style for this piece but have looked at elements of folk styling, in particular representations of animals within the folk art tradition.
It could be listening to you - with its swept back ears and appearing on its haunches attentive and ready!
This would be a great gift for an animal lover especially one who adores rabbits.
Made in polymer clay and finished with acrylic paints and a few layers of gloss varnish for protection. It has been made for indoor display only.
This rabbit is approx 10cm (4") tall.
