I'm on maternity leave, enjoying my 2 beautiful newborn twins :) :) My Folksy shop will be closed for most of the summer 2018. During this time my work is still available through my stockists listed on my website www.thewaytoblue.co.uk. Best wishes, Sarah x
The delicate intricacies of tree branches and the patterns they create are captured on this unique vase. Created using the Cyanotype technique on beautifully semi-translucent textured paper then applied to glass. It is then varnished.
The old photographic process of Cyanotype was invented by Sir John Herschel in 1841. A light sensitive solution is applied to paper, objects or negatives layered on then exposed to sunlight, the solution is then rinsed off in water and the paper dried, fixing the image in glorious blue tones.
Height 22 cm, Width 10cm, Depth 8cm approx.
