Full description
The Long tailed tits arrive in our garden as a flock. Their little round bodies and long tails make them look like little lollipops, bouncing around like a group of acrobats. They leave as a group in the same way as the arrived, visiting each garden in the street. Work has to stop when they are here and Jane would stand and watch them with utter joy until they were gone.
This linocut has a wintry Japanese feel, as the flowers on the Blackthorn arrive on bare branches.
It is a two layer linocut print, the first layer adding the colour, which will vary on each print, making them unique, the second layer is black. The image measures 10cm x 26 cm and is hand printed onto paper approx 16cm x 32cm. The paper is handmade lokta.
