This lovely bright and fresh shawl is the ideal accessory to wear this Spring. A high quality artisan produced yarn has been paired with a HappyHook original design to create a luxury shawl that will turn heads. This shawl would make an ideal accessory to an outfit for a special occasion.
Defy Winter and grey days by wearing this lush lime zest Artesano hand-painted alpaca Blend 4 Ply (50% Alpaca/ 50% Peruvian highland wool) shawl. This blend of alpca and sheep’s wool which is then beautifully hand painted creates a yarn that is soft and tactile. A real pleasure to crochet with and to wear. A real bit of luxury that is adaptable to any season or outfit.
My own design, Rainy Day is a triangular shawl worked from the bottom point up in rows in a combination of crochet stitches. The pattern came to life one very wet and grey day. To me, the stitch pattern is a visual representation of a sea of umbrellas on a rainy day; people walking along the street, jostling and rushing to work with their umbrellas bobbing up and down on a busy street.
Hand wash only. Do not wring. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
