Created in my home workshop using traditional silver smithing methods, this gorgeous pendant has been made to show case this stunning Blue Mabe Pearl.
The pearl is huge, measuring 14mm in diameter! The blue pearl was grown in the waters of Bali and displays the most stunning array of pinks, purples and blues in the light.
The pendant has been created in my home studio, into a figure of eight design, hammered for subtle sparkle and shine. The pearl has been bezel set in a hand made sterling silver mount. The setting has been forged from sterling silver flat sheet and the body of the pendant from thick sterling silver wire. The pendant has been finished with a tube bail - please see pictures.
The pendant has been suspended on a sturdy open oval link chain, finished with an oversized spring ring clasp.
The chain measures 45cm or 18 inches in length. the pendant measures 40x23mm approx. There is a lot of silver in this design and it is a substantial, weighty piece.
All metal components of this design are sterling silver. A similar item can be made in gold, please contact me.
The pendant has been Hall Marked at the London Assay Office, the pendant also bears my unique makers mark.
The necklace will come beautifully gift boxed, ready to be presented as a gift.
