I was inspired to create seven palettes of colour around each of the colours of the spectrum. Some of the accent colours appear in several of the palettes so they all harmonise with each other. In this way I hope to create components and accessories that can be mixed and matched.
These colours were inspired by the glaucous blues and purples of ornamental cabbage leaves.

Full description
I made these polymer clay beads using colours from my Violet Palette. I created the unique patterns by cutting each bead into four pieces and assembling them inside out to create mirrored patterns. I then shaped and textured the beads to create a matt finish similar to etched glass. Each bead has a subtly different pattern that is a combination of bold retro patches, soft painterly blends and fine tracery lines.
I have used shades of purple, sage green, indigo and pale dove grey to make these beads. They are each approximately 1.2cm in diameter but there is a little variation as they are handmade.
This listing is for ONE of the beads pictured which I will select randomly. The earrings pictured are an example of the beads in use and are not included.
