I was inspired to create seven palettes of colour around each of the colours of the spectrum. Some of the accent colours appear in several of the palettes so they all harmonise with each other. In this way I hope to create components and accessories that can be mixed and matched.
This indigo palette was inspired by dark purple plums with a blue grey glaucous coating.

Full description
This long necklace features a compound pendant with an outer loop that has a subtle gradient colour change from dark purple to indigo and a central bead with a unique patchwork pattern. I have joined the pieces together using bronze coloured copper wire and glass seed beads. Below the pendant I have attached a topaz coloured crystal drop to add a touch of sparkle.
The front of the necklace is composed of a beaded chain with stacks of rustic sequin beads that I made using colours from my Indigo Palette – dark blue, blue grey, dove grey, beige, chocolate brown and dark purple. The back of the necklace is composed of smaller indigo rondelle beads on beading thread so that it is comfortable to wear around the neck.
This necklace is 68cm long so it slips over the head (therefore there is no clasp). The pendant including the bead charm extends a further 8.2cm below the necklace.
