Full description

This stoneware bowl is hand-built from oak leaves impressed into leaves of clay.

After assembling the individual clay leaves into a nest shape I brushed over a wash of iron oxide to pick up the texture of the leaf and its veins.

After firing it I glazed the bowl in a soft glossy green which looks just lovely and really shows off nature's beauty in the leaves.

Although they have been fired to 1200 degrees celcius, I would recommend being gentle with these bowls, as the undulating edges are not as resilient as a solid rim of a conventional bowl.

This bowl would be perfect for holding nibbles when entertaining, or for keeping your precious rings and other trinkets safe.

Measures approx. 10cm across.
