My inspiration for making this Brooch was to try and capture the delicate features of the flower, while being durable to everyday wear and tear. I love intricate detail and as with all my Designs I wanted to create a " one off " piece of Artwork.
CORNFLOWERS- are a common site in summer dotted throughout Golden Cornfields and in grassy meadows and Summer boarders. Although they are becoming endangered in their native habitat because of agricultural intensification, particularly with the over use of herbicides.
They are an ornamental plant, that attracts Bees and Butterflies and found in Folklore and Symbolism.
This unique piece of Artwork, is a beautiful delicate and feminine Brooch, that is both dramatic and ornamental.
It would make a Unique Gift for any Woman, to mark any occasion or celebration and will perhaps become an Antique of the Future........

You are looking at a variation of one, of my more unusual Stunning Designs, that will appeal to nature lovers or someone that likes to be noticed-
The CORNFLOWER STICK PIN, Lapel Flower Pin.
Each piece of Jewellery is Individually Designed, Handmade and Hand Painted. No moulds are used. Each Item is totally Unique. The material used is a very refined modelling Clay--- A Porcelain substitute. It fires a lot stronger than Porcelain, so intricate & fine detail can be used without it becoming too fragile! It also fires very light.. so size is not restricted to a small sculpture and large Designs can be produced!
Exquisite, realistic detail, beautifully painted.
Silver Plated Sick Pin- Approximate size- 3.5 cm (1 1/2 inches).
Approximate size 3.8 cm (1 1/2 inches) across and 3.8 cm (1 1/2 inches) down.
NOTE- THIS BROOCH IS HANDMADE TO ORDER, SO IT WILL BE SIMULAR, BUT A UNIQUE PIECE OF ARTWORK!
