Full description
A combination of felting techniques have been used to create this scarf. The main body of the scarf has been nuno felted using natural grey merino wool on a silk chiffon base to create a beautifully soft fabric. Nuno felting causes the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it. It has been felted on both sides. The ends of the scarf have been shaped and a wet felted lattice using a blend of black, grey and white jacob wool has been added. The resulting scarf is a unique and striking accessory that would look fabulous teamed up with any outfit.
This is a long scarf, measuring approximately 204cm( 80") x 40cm (16"), long enough to wrap around the neck or shoulders and can be worn in many ways
A delightful gift for any occasion, valentines, mothers day, birthday etc. The scarf is supplied wrapped in floral tissue paper with a label describing the felting process and full washing instructions. An upgrade is available as a separate listing in my shop allowing it to be packaged in a kraft card window presentation box making it an ideal gift.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring, roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a warm (wool/silk setting) iron.
