A friend gave me some badly smashed windfall apples for feeding the blackbirds - and look who hopped along the patio! It amazes me how many colours are in blackbirds, and none of them are labelled 'black' in my palette.

A friend gave me some badly smashed windfall apples for feeding the blackbirds. I wish I could say that this one hopped along the patio but the apples are still there, browning nicely, 2 days later. However I DID see a gorgeous blackbird that same day outside my local coffee shop. It amazes me how many colours are in blackbirds, and none of them are labelled 'black' in my palette.
This original miniature blackbird painting is on good quality 350gsm watercolour paper using professional grade watercolours.
It measures just 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches and is classed as an ACEO, which stands for Art Cards Editions and Originals. They are highly collectible miniature works of art, easily displayed in a photo frame, photo album or on a miniature easel.

Presented in a clear polythene collectors sleeve with a certificate of authenticity and a very cute handmade mini envelope, all of my miniature art is a delight to both collect and to gift.
As with all water-based art, to keep it at its best it is important to display this painting out of direct sunlight and away from damp/humid conditions.
