Stoneware yarn bowl made by hand in my garden studio. Watching the birds forage and play whilst making my work gave me the idea for using the robin's egg glaze. An unusual, pretty glaze made up of blue, grey and tan speckles on a base of sage green.

Full description
This bowl is thrown on my potter's wheel, the final shape is created once it was partially dried, cutting the holes and swirl using a special potter's knife.
After it is bisque fired it is glazed using a matt glaze which resembles the texture and speckles of a robin's egg. It is then fired for a second time to 1250 degrees centigrade making it strong and durable. My potter's mark is on the base.
I make this yarn bowl using lead free glazes.
