I have a fusing kiln, I have glass, I have an addiction to making beautiful glass pieces.
I hope you like what I have made.
When I started this dish the idea was it would be red and yellow. Things don't always go the way I expect when it comes to fusing glass and kilns. The yellow went in quite bright, alternating triangles of clear coloured glass with half of it with an inidescent coating.
When it came out of the kiln the bowl was red with the yellow merged in giving only a hint of its presence when the light is on it.

Introducing my Joysofglass Fused Glass collection. All handcut by me, decorated and then fused in my kiln.
My glass fusing kiln is only small so these fused glass pieces are all one-off designs, no mass production possible.
This is fused glass bowl, twice fired to very high temperatures in my kiln, first to fuse all the glass together as a flat circle, 2nd to slump it over a little mold into a dish.
This round dish has a base of bright red iridescent glass topped with a 2 types of clear yellow glass, all very sparkly. I've decorated this with lots and lots of red and yellow and then clear and black backed dichroic. The overall effect is a very richly decorated piece of glass with an amazing shimmer.
A very pretty little bowl and very tactile.
Perfect for small salads, sweets, your trinkets, jewels or just to decorate your table.
The design is all fused in to itself while still retaining a slighly raised relief.
Made from Bullseye glass, handcut, shaped, layered and decorated with a unique design.
The bowl measures 12.5 cm in diameter and is approximately 3 cm deep.
It will be sent smothered in bubble wrap in my rather innovative (takeaway) packaging which can be used as a gift box and also keeps it very safe for postage.
This will make a lovely present for yourself of for someone you love and is guaranteed to be totally unique.
