I recently spent a few hours drawing in the National Gallery, London. Sometimes I call in early, as I work nearby.
This is one of two studies of Van Gogh's Sunflowers. It is not a print, it is hand drawn with a fineliner.
I used an old photo album, which I bought in a charity shop, as a sketchbook. I often do this as the card is usually of very good quality, and those little leaves of opaque paper between each page keep my drawings clean. There are loads of unused photograph albums in charity shops. People are given them as gifts and then discard them, such a waste. I like to be eco-friendly and put them to good use.
The green envelope once belonged to a pack of Christmas cards given to me by a friend. She had bought them and not used them. Again, I hate to see them go to waste.

Unique Handmade Mother's Day or Valentine's Day Sunflowers Card. Can be used for many other occasions, including Sympathy.
It is not a print. I drew it by hand on a trip to the National Gallery, London, and this is the original drawing. It is a card and a piece of art, at the same time.
It is a study of a section of Van Gogh's Sunflowers.
I did two different studies, both are listed in my shop.
As with all my stuff, it is made from materials which others discard, making it super eco-friendly. I used a page of thick card, which was taken from an old photo album (see image), and a lovely green envelope from an unused Christmas card.
It measures 12cms x 9cms (when folded).
All of my work is individually numbered. This piece is 792.
It is blank inside.
In keeping with my ethos, it will arrive on your doormat in an envelope sewn from old magazines.
