A few years ago I went on holiday with my brother and Dad in Scotland. We took a ferry out one day to the Isle of Tobimory (where the children's programme Balamory was filmed at the time). We passed a remote Island on the way there with very few houses on it which sparked a story in my mind. What would it be like to grow up on an Island like that, what would you do as an only child not able to run to the next village to call on a friend? So I created some images in response to this idea of a boy living on the Island. This and the Boy and Fish image also to be found on my Folksy page were my favourites.

Full description
This A4 printed Illustration was inspired by a trip to Scotland on a boat that passed a remote Island. A boy living on a scottish island is happily flying his kite with a view of the sea ahead.
It is created through scans of my original paintings and drawings and digitally rendered to create the final piece.
This print is available as an A4 (29.5cm x 21cm). It has a 2.5cm border around the edge and a 3.5cm border at the top and bottom of the image. This makes it ideal for framing without needing a mount. It is also hand signed in the bottom, right corner.
I have my artwork digitally printed locally onto a 210gsm, uncoated matte paper. The print is hand signed at the bottom right.
It comes packaged in an hard backed envelope, wrapped in a protective cellophane packet so that it comes to you in top condition.
This is one of my best sellers and I still love the nostalgic feeling of that trip when I look at it. The boy and fish image also available in my shop is a second in the series of the story of a boy who lives on the Island, looking for friends and things to do.
