I specialise in sourcing collections of amazing Vintage Kimono silks from Japan which I make into Limited Editions Cushions, each one special and rare!
I can wait months to find a silk to work with another and this is a perfect example.
This silk has been carefully un picked from a Vintage Japanese Kimono dating from the 70's and 80's. In perfect un used condition It has a lovely oriental floral design of Peonies and maple leaves in elegant pinks on a cream background which has a tiny pattern woven within that reflects beautifully with the light. It's like a work of art!
The other side is a coordinating Kimono Silk in a smaller scale floral in similar colours on a black background. They work really well together and the cushion looks great any way round...
It's very hard to do the silk justice in my pictures!
The cushion includes a fat feather pad made in the UK and hidden zip opening.
Please take care if removing cover as I always use the biggest cushion pad I can to make the pillow extra plump. Pillow should be puffed up regularly and enjoyed...
It is so satisfying getting these beautiful fabrics out of dark cupboards and back into our homes.
