Full description
A very fine layer of white merino wool on a cotton cheesecloth base has been used to make this scarf. A floral decoration at the ends of the scarf on one side has been added using various wool and silk fibres. The whole scarf has then been nuno felted.
The scarf has been felted on both sides but decoration added to one side only.
A decorated kraft card gift box is included in the listing.
The nuno felting process allows the woollen fibres to migrate through the cheesecloth base and bind with it resulting in an amazingly soft and lightweight scarf. The fineness of the wool layers results in the structure of the underlying cheesecloth to show through adding to the beauty of the design. The scarf drapes beautifully around the shoulders and is bound to make a statement. It could be teamed up equally well with either a smart or casual outfit.
This scarf measures approximately 180cm x 35cm (71" x 14") and would make a wonderful gift for any occasion.
The scarf can be hand washed in warm water. Do not wring, reshape while wet, do not tumble dry. Iron on low (wool) setting.
