Full description
This beautiful nuno felted scarf has been made using gorgeously soft, pale blue merino wool which has been nuno felted to both sides of a blue silk chiffon scarf. A floral decoration using darker blue merino wool blended with bleached tussah silk fibres has been added to one side prior to felting. The reverse side is felted but left plain.
Nuno felting is a process whereby woollen fibres are made to migrate through the underlying silk fabric and bind with it to produce a new material. The resulting scarf is super soft, lightweight and drapes beautifully.
This dress length scarf measures approximately 128cm x 39cm (50.5" x 15.5") and would make a stunning addition to any outfit. The use of natural fibres makes this scarf warm in winter yet cool in summer.
A lovely gift for any occasion, this scarf is supplied in a sturdy kraft card gift box as shown in the final photograph.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
