Full description
This stunning black floral scarf has been made using a nuno felting technique. Very fine layers of gorgeously soft black merino wool have been nuno felted to both sides of a black silk chiffon scarf. Floral detail has been added at both ends on one side, using various wool and silk fibres, prior to felting. The reverse has been left plain.
Nuno felting is a process which allows the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it creating a new fabric. The woollen layer is extremely fine resulting in a soft, sheer and lightweight scarf which drapes beautifully.
The scarf measures approximately 130cm x 40cm (51" x 16"). A unique item that would look fabulous teamed up with any outfit, smart or casual.
A lovely gift idea for any occasion.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring, roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
