Full description
Very fine layers of black merino wool and a black silk chiffon scarf have been used to make this nuno felted scarf. Various wool and silk fibres have been used to create a floral decoration at each end on one side of the scarf. The scarf has been nuno felted on both sides but decoration added to one side only.
Nuno felting is a process which allows the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it creating a new fabric. The woollen layer is extremely fine resulting in a sheer, lightweight scarf which drapes beautifully.
The scarf measures approximately 132cm x 42cm (52" x 16.5"). A unique item that would look fabulous teamed up with any outfit, smart or casual.
A lovely gift idea for any occasion.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring, roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
