Making Mara was fun and a good excuse to stretch my imagination. I wanted to make a creature which would make people smile.

Mara is a weird and wonderful ornamental rabbit. She's a one of a kind! A very playful character, made from original vintage 'Marrakesh' fabric produced in the 1960s for John Lewis.
Mara was born into a family of travelling performers and feels completely relaxed walking the high wire! In fact, she loves to dazzle her audience, both with her costume and her dexterity.
Mara began as just a sketch and was handmade by me in my studio, at home near Edinburgh.

Height 13.5" by 6" wide (approx)
34cm x 16cm
MATERIALS
Outer - Mixed recycled fabrics, buttons & thread
Inside - New polyester filling.
Not suitable for young children - she doesn't enjoy rough play and prefers a mainly ornamental existence. Like most rabbits burrowing on the settee or at the end of the bed is bliss to her.
Will be wrapped in tissue & well packaged to ensure he arrives in tip-top condition.
POSTAGE
Postage is a flat rate based on the most expensive item – so extra items can be added without adding extra postage.
