This crocheted throw is made from 40 double crocheted squares and measures 36" x 60" (91cm x 152cm). The wool colours are all browns and creams, some plain and some flecked or variegated. Each square has a narrow double crochet border in dark brown wool. The squares have then been hand stitched together in matching wool to form a rectangle (5 squares wide x 8 squares long) and then the whole throw has a 1.5" (3cm) double crochet border in the dark brown wool.

This versatile throw is an ideal size for the sofa or indeed a travel rug for the car and has a very warm and cosy feel.

I make a lot of patchwork items using fabrics (refer to my Folksy shop) and thought it would be an interesting change to make a crocheted throw/ blanket using a patchwork of squares, especially at this time of year.
