Last year I made a stripe lap quilt for us and very useful it has been too !
This is a very eco friendly way to quilt - these are all taken from hems of vintage curtains, washed and trimmed ready to use.
I have also recently realised these fabrics might be useful for a rag rug or even fabric weaving !
There is a great mix here of 50s, 60s and 70s fabrics - generally all light upholstery weight and as far as I know they are cotton.
I have eight packs of strips all ready to sew together - a similar mix of fabrics to my quilt. Each pack makes up to just over 40cm square ( a cushion size ) .
YOU WILL RECEIVE ALL EIGHT PACKS!
SO very roughly you have 80cm by 120 cm of fabric - although the exact dimentions will depend on how you piece it together. This should be enough for a great cot or lap quilt but you can also add more of your own fabric to make a bigger quilt.
Please note:
You will need to have your own backing fabric, bindings and wadding to complete your project.
My quilt is shown as a example only - the mix of strips/fabrics in the packs will not exactly match mine but should give a similar look.
