I love making jugs, there is something so aesthetically pleasing about a balanced handle and lip plus they are so incredibly useful. All of my jugs are unique, I never make more than one of each kind. I chose to add a handle to this jug; it's slim shape seemed to suit one. This would make a gorgeous gift for any tea, coffee lover, for salad dressing or as an individual jus or gravy jug.

Full description

A lovely little handmade milk jug.

This little jug was thrown on my potter's wheel using stoneware clay. I allowed it to harden a little then added the handle, fettled the foot and added my potter's mark to the base. It was then left until it was completely bone dry, it was then fired in my kiln to 1060 degrees centigrade. I used a beautiful matt white glaze on the outside with shiny white on the inside, the lower half remained unglazed giving a beautiful contrast of textures.

All of my work is made with lead free glazes and is dinnerware safe.

This jug is dishwasher proof but I recommend hand washing.
