I love the depth of colour in this stone and wanted to set it in a way that would allow its warmth to shine through. Carnelian is an ancient gemstone, having been used to adorn as far back as the ancient Minoans in Knossos, around 1800BC. It was used widely by the Romans and the Egyptians, who called it "the setting sun."
Carnelian is thought to be an energy booster, helping people find inner strength and restoring vitality and motivation.
