Item details
The tiny buttons from which these earrings were cast are from the Art Deco period and were amongst the first to have glass shanks as opposed to the embedded brass shanks of Victorian and Edwardian buttons. As a result the shanks have cracked and crumbled, making the buttons too fragile to handle very much. The distressed appearance of the buttons have left the earrings cast from them with a vintage appearance which adds to their charm.
