Chunky and a real statement piece, this necklace is really noticeable.
Gorgeous natural shaped nuggets of Botswana Agate, in shades of browns and greys have been tumbled and drilled to create natural abstract, drop and free form shapes. Strung and knotted together, they sit at angles to one another on the neckline, creating movement and structure. In between these at intervals I have added round beads of Botswana agate for contrast in shape.
Botswana agate is a wonderful stone. Fine and more substantial stripes, bands and chevrons are characteristic of this beautiful gemstone. The stones in this necklace have natural dints and dinks, adding to the organic feel of the design.
I have hand knotted the necklace and added a sterling silver hook and eye clasp. The clasp has been hand made in my workshop an carries my makers mark and full English Hall Marks. Assayed at the London Assay Office for sterling silver.
The necklace measures 58cm in length approx. The Agate stones range in size from 30mm to 20mm approx. The round agate beads measure 6mm in diameter approx.
A substantial and statement piece of jewellery. I have added a 10p coin for scale in some of my photos. This is for scale only and not included in the sale.
