Full description
A beautiful lightweight and gorgeously soft scarf made using natural grey merino wool nuno felted to both sides of a grey silk chiffon base scarf. On one side fibres of black, dark and light grey merino wool have been added to provide a surface pattern. The reverse is plain grey.
The nuno felting technique causes the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk base and bind with it. The advantage of this method is that the woollen layer can be extremely fine, the strength of the scarf being provided by the underlying silk. The result is a sheer scarf which drapes beautifully.
Warm in winter yet cool in summer this scarf can be used all year round and would make a lovely addition to any outfit, smart or casual. This scarf measures approximately 132cm x 42cm ( 52" x 16.5").
A lovely gift for any occasion.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
