Suffragette Poppy Pin Brooch with Green Purple White Handmade Felt Votes for Women
When being a suffragette was often frowned upon high society women would wear jewellery including brooches in these colours to show their support for the cause.....
My own version is made from fine merino wool and has been hand felted in my studio. A focal point to any outfit, it has a simple and secure fastening on the back and white seed beads in the centre. Wear to make a statement or simply as a fabulous accessory you might be surprised how many women recognise the colour scheme.....
All the felt at Penny Jane Designs is laid from wool fibres, hand rolled and then decorated. The standard therefore is much higher and more interesting than factory made felt.
Size is approximately 8/9 cm in diameter. Your actual poppy may vary slightly from the picture but will still be beautifully crafted.
