Inspired by my fascination as a child with the Victorian taxidermied animals at the Natural History Museum this kingfisher is a more ethical solution to recreating that experience.
Made from wool, wire and polymer clay, my free time was well spent this summer watching a pair of kingfishers flash up and down the river.
Perching on an overhanging branch, this fine Sir has fulfilled my wish and stopped long enough for a closer look.
Measurements: 10.5cm x 8.5cmx 4cm (approximate)
Please note:
I intentionally use vintage, repurposed cases to aid the impression of weary grandeur, therefore, whilst wholly sound they are not perfect - please bear this in mind if you prefer high gloss and clean lines
