This picture was inspired by some cottages in Goathland in the North York moors
They stand within the moors and so are surrounded by the sheep
I especially loved working with the rich pinks and purples
I love to use recycled silk scarves in my work, which I buy from local charity shops.

Cottages in Goathland Textile Art
This picture is designed and created by myself from recycled silk scarves.
I place layer upon layer to create texture
I used Rayon thread for the sheep so give them a shimmer effect
I then add lots of free machine embroidery to add detail to the picture
This picture is pre stretched onto foam board and so is ready to be framed
Size 25cm x 25cm.
