Full description
This gorgeous ring is made from D-shaped sterling silver wire, 3.2mm deep, which has been forged with a planishing hammer to create a reflective faceted surface. The gemstone is a round cabochon of garnet, 8mm in diameter, in a lovely dark shade of burgundy red. Garnet is the birthstone for January. The stone is mounted in a sterling silver bezel cup and the whole ring has been tumble-polished to a bright shine. Traditional silver hallmarks have been applied by the London Assay Office.
