'Mi bag' is a messenger bag of classic simplicity, using time tested quality materials, it has an eternal style about it.
It is made with dark green wax cotton and full grain semi anilne leather

'Mi bag' has a plywood insert at the back, and is side strengthened helping to protect a tablet or phone. It has flexibility on the sides and will spring back to shape.
It is hand sewn (saddlestitched) and machine sewn where applicable. I used thick cord as the liner, being tactile and warm as well as durable, the top edge of the liner has a full grain leather edge. The edging for the bag flap is cream semi aniline and the underside brown pigmented leather, while the top is brown full grain semi aniline.

The strap gripper has leather edging nicely complimenting and matching the bag flap giving it a slightly more complete look, it also has a rubber coated pvc backing, underneath the leather edging so it will stay put on your shoulder.

It is The bag weighs 770g, it is 12 x 8 x 4 inches

Why 'Mi bag'?

My inspirations for this bag are from images and times that I loved, and so got deeply ingrained.

A photograph of a catwalk model wearing an elegant cut black leather jacket with burn orange leather on the cuffs and lapels. The effect of the two colours was striking, doubly so because they were both in leather.

Another was a long distance cycle traveller, his bike had tan wax cotton panniers, they had become beautifully distressed, there were shiny areas polished by the wind, and rain, with rivers of creases and colours ranging from brown to peach all wonderfully blending into each other. I first thought it was leather

My last inspiration comes from my old brown cord sofa in my first flat, I've never had a more comfortable bed, it was basic, foam on a wooden board, but it was what can only be described as the cudliest wudliest sofa in the whole of toyland.

A bag at its best is a personal expression, this is 'Mi bag'
