Full description
A nuno felted scarf made using a very fine layer of soft white merino wool on a silk chiffon base with a rainbow blend of merino wool added around the border. This scarf has been felted on both sides making it a fully reversible scarf. Shrinkage of the wool during the felting process results in a slightly ruffled edge.
Nuno felting is a process whereby the woollen fibres migrate through the silk and bind with it. This allows the woollen layer to be extremely fine, the strength being provided by the underlying silk. The resultant scarf is very soft and lightweight.
The scarf measures approximately 125cm (49") x 34cm (13.5") and would make a stunning addition to any outfit smart or casual. A unique gift idea for any occasion.
Handwash in warm water, do not wring, roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
