Full description
This kit is ideal for anyone wanting to make their first patchwork quilt. Not only are the fabrics already chosen for you, but the squares and strips have been pre-cut, so you can dive straight in!
This lap quilt finishes at approx. 42" x 42", making it a very manageable size for someone starting out. The fabrics are from Riley Blake's cute Giraffe Crossing range, which together with a couple of Kona Solids, make up in to a very bright and cheerful quilt.
The kit also includes an Aurifil thread for piecing, full instructions, and for a little extra help, links to my free online tutorials, complete with photos, on sewmotion.com.
You will also need:
- basic sewing equipment including pins, scissors, curved safety pins (for basting) and a needle.
- 44" x 44" wadding and backing fabric, and thread for quilting - these are available as a pack in my shop.
Optional but reccomended:
- a quilter's rotary cutter, ruler and mat
- a quarter-inch foot and a walking foot on your sewing machine.
