This scarf is the perfect expression of my love for my sheep and my love of exuberant colour! Louie Purl, whose fleece is in this scarf, is quite a laid back chap who is very friendly and affectionate. He always has an excellent fleece with great lock structure; exactly what you need for this scarf. I hand dye the locks using acid dyes, a non toxic dye system which requires vinegar to set the colours. I then knit the locks straight into the scarf, using some of our own yarn to hold them in place. I pick the locks randomly, building them up in layers to create the wild texture.
