This is a gorgeous peridot fluorite crochet necklace. It is created with real peridot gemstones, real fluorite gemstones, tiger tail beading wire, and silver plated e-coated copper. The crochet strands can be manipulated to give different looks. This is really beautiful, and would definitely make a statement when worn.
All the crochet was handmade. The necklace is 18 and a half inches (47 cm) long, and extends to just under 20 and a half inches (52 cm) long. It is approx. 1 and a half inches (3.8 cm) wide but this can change depending on your style.
Peridot is the birthstone for August. It is also associated with the Capricorn star sign and the 16th wedding anniversary. Peridot has been mined as a gemstone for over 4000 years, and was mentioned in the Bible under its original name, Chrysolite. The gemstone is the only member of the Olivine mineral family, a species of magnesium rich silicate minerals. In 2003, Peridot was found on Mars by NASA. This gemstone is associated with luck.
Fluorite fluoresce under ultraviolet light, and the word 'fluorescent' comes from it. It is the mineral form of calcium fluoride. Fluorite is said to be a protective stone, clearing auras and increasing intuitiveness.
The necklace will be presented in a beautiful leatherette gift box. The order is sent by Royal Mail First Class Signed.

I wanted to create a multi layer crochet necklace. I really like the colour blue, and chose the gemstones that would go with it. Peridot and Flourite give some great contrasts.
