Through a real appreciation of the Shakers and their ethos, Matthew has created an innovative product range called ‘The Peg Rail Cabinets’ which includes cabinets that hang from the Shaker peg rail. The Shakers believed that everything in the home should have a place. They did not believe in clutter or unnecessary objects. This was achieved by using peg rails at head height from which items such as chairs, mirrors and tools could be hung to keep the room clean and tidy. The Shakers believed that every object in the home should have a function and that decoration was unnecessary. Matthew has built on these principles and devised an exciting cabinet collection that is used in conjunction with his hand made peg rail. The creation is ideal for homemakers who desire functionality and tidiness.

Full description
The Spice Cabinet is a beautifully handmade cabinet that has the capacity for up to 27 spice jars. There is an additional top shelf for condiments, spice or herb refills. This cabinet would look the part in any food lover's kitchen. The cabinet hangs from the Shaker Traditions Peg Rail (this can be purchased separately - please refer to my shop).

What are the colour options?
This cabinet comes hand painted in Wimborne White internally. Externally the cabinet is hand painted in a choice of four Farrow and Ball Estate Eggshell colours as follows:
- Borrowed Light, Cornforth White, Wimborne White or French Grey.
Cabinets can be supplied in one colour or have a different colour back to the rest of the cabinet. Please note: the colour of the back will be continued onto the staves.
What are the dimensions of the cabinet?
These dimensions are a guidance and may vary slightly: 685mm (L) x 292mm (W) x 165mm (D) x x 935mm (full length of the cabinet including the staves).
