Full description
This unique pendant was designed to show the beauty of a crescent moon. I began with a circle of sterling silver sheet, 2.5cm wide. I used a piercing saw to cut a thin crescent of silver and soldered it to the circle. A doming punch was used to give the pendant a convex curve. The whole pendant was then immersed in oxidising solution to darken the surface before polishing the crescent and the reverse side to a bright shine. This is a two-in-one pendant, the reflective concave reverse side makes a very attractive jewellery item in its own right - see last photo.
This pendant is attached by means of a silver ring to a 45cm (18in) sterling silver trace chain. It will be presented in a smart gift box and sent to you by Royal Mail first class post.
