Full description
This is my little celebration of the humble photocopier, An Ode To Photocopying is a selection of drawings and scrappy notes that I made while pondering the making of zines. Although I hope anyone can enjoy it, it is also a bit of an in joke for people who use photocopiers and/or make little books or zines. When I copied these it was intentional that I didn't think about which pages were going where (other than the middle spread is always the four panel comic), let some of them be the wrong way up (I think even this went wrong and a copy did turn out with all the pages the right way round) and I threw in the odd blank page. Basically the layout and such is as much a part of the content as the drawings and every copy is different which I think is kinda cool.
Also, I realised when I copied this that my little notes of 'oh, this way round is how to get the pagination right' is actually wrong so if you're looking for some photocopying advice this isn't really going to help. It might make you feel like you aren't alone in your frustrations though! I'm pretty sure photocopiers change how they work every other time you use them anyway just to keep you on your toes.
This is printed using the photocopier at my local library, is A5 in size and there are 12 pages plus the cover.
