Full description
This unusual pendant is made from sterling silver which has been oxidised to a dark colour to add drama and give it a sophisticated antique-style patina. I used a piercing saw to cut out the setting from 1mm thick sterling silver sheet. It is in the style of a flower with six petals. At its centre is a round cabochon of intense blue Lapis lazuli, 8mm in diameter. The pendant has a hand-made bail and is supplied with a sterling silver chain, 18in (45cm) in length, which is also a dark antique colour. The pendant measures 3x2.4cm and weighs 4.0g. It has been hallmarked on the reverse side by the London Assay Office.
