This is a detailed written KNITTING PDF PATTERN for Halloween themed fingerless mitts suitable for children, teens and adults, the pattern includes row by row instructions, a chart and photos to help you along the way!
These ‘Black Cat’ fingerless mitts are worked in stocking stitch with garter stitch cuffs. The cats are added using Swiss darning (duplicate stitch) once the knitting is complete; however they could be added whilst knitting by using the intarsia method. The mitts are knit flat on two needles with a side seam.
Sizes:
6, 7 and 8 inches hand circumference suitable for Children, Teen/Women and Men
Suggested Yarn:
Wool or a wool mix DK
Notions:
4mm (US 6) knitting needles, a tapestry needle
Tension/Gauge:
22 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm/4 inches using 4mm/US 6 needles over stocking stitch.
