This is a detailed written KNITTING PATTERN in PDF for a Halloween themed headband/ear-warmer suitable for children, teens and adults, the pattern includes row by row instructions, a chart and photos to help you along the way!
This ‘spooky spider’ headband is worked in stocking stitch with garter stitch bands either side. The spider is added to the stocking stitch section using Swiss darning (duplicate stitch) once the headband has been knit, however the spider (or spiders!) could be added whilst knitting by using the intarsia method. The headband is knit flat on two needles with a seam at the back.

Notions:
4mm (US 6) knitting needles, a tapestry needle
Tension/Gauge:
22 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm/4 inches using 4mm/US 6 needles over stocking stitch.
