I was inspired by a visit to the Escher exhibition in Edinburgh, where I saw his tessellating patterns. I researched George Polya, the mathematician whose work had influenced M.C.Escher. Polya's 1924 publication of the 17 Planes of Symmetry inspired my Tessellating Autumn Leaves.

Full description
An original drawing of tessellating Autumn leaves inspired by Escher and Polya. Completely hand drawn and hand coloured, resulting in an original and unique piece of art.
Hand drawn using pencil and pen, this individual artwork comes in a cream mount measuring 10 x 8 inches (approximately 25 x 20 cm). It will fit any standard 10 x 8 inch frame.
Wrapped in cellophane and protected by card, it will be sent by first class post within a 'Please Do Not Bend' envelope.
