Have you ever seen a Kingfisher? They're elusive little things aren't they! This series was inspired by an elderly lady who had never seen one in the flesh. I was commissioned to paint one, but was overwhelmed by the gorgeous photos of Peter Skillen (of Photos for Artists) that I simply had to paint a series.
Painted on good quality 300gsm watercolour paper using artist's watercolours, this painting measures a 6 x 4 inches. It fits into standard sized mounts and frames that are readily available.
It will be well packaged in a cellophane wrapper, tissue and card.
As with all water-based art, to keep it at its best it is important to display this painting out of direct sunlight and away from damp/humid conditions.
