A black and white sewing needle case. The case has been knitted with 100% black and white acrylic yarn. The case is fastened with a black and gold vintage button and a white knitted buttonhole tab.

The lining of this sewing needle case is created with a white piece of cotton fabric.

Often sewing needle cases do not cater for the thicker typed sewing needles such as the ones used with thicker yarns like knitting yarn or tapestry wools or the blunted type of needle used for cross stitching. This sewing needle case can be used with a variety of different sized needles. This is because it uses two different types of material for the holding of sewing needles. There are two pages or leaves of black cotton cross stitch aida for your larger or fatter type sewing needles. While the more usual sewing needles are catered for with two pages of white felt.

The mixed black and white colour of the yarn was the inspiration to create a black and white case. I have made knitted sewing needle cases in the past and wanted to add one to my latest selection of sewing needle cases.

While creating this case I also wanted to make sure it would hold both dressing making sewing needles and the larger/thicker and blunt tapestry sewing needles and needles that are used to sew up knitted items. So I added the black aida as well as white felt.
