Turquoise is one of my favourite colours because it goes with a surprising range of other shades. The (deliberately) slightly messy gold on this gives a more relaxed feel to the piece and stops it being hard-edged and formal.

Turquoise goes with lots of colours and flatters most complexions.
This pendant is made from turquoise polymer clay which has been impressed with a flower design and highlighted with gold coloured metal leaf.
The edges of the gilding have been left looking slightly distressed to give a more relaxed feel. The pendant has been coated with a light varnish which gives a slightly crackled finish and protects the metal leaf from wear and tarnish.
The pendant is suspended by a gold coloured bail from a pale pink silk wrapped cord, 18"
long which has silver coloured base metal fittings.
The pendant measures approximately 3.50 x 2.75 cms.
