Welcome to Silver Birch Studio. My shop features a wide selection of handmade jewellery items, mainly in sterling silver with semi-precious stones.
Looking for a gift for a scuba diver? Just love the undersea world? This unique pendant is meant for you! I have imprinted an image of an underwater kelp forest onto 1mm sterling silver sheet measuring 3.6 x 2.8cm. The imprint is lightly textured and has been darkened with oxidising agent, leaving the rest of the surface brightly polished. I have rounded off the corners, given the silver a gentle outward curve and added a hand-made silver bail. Standard silver hallmarks including my own maker's mark have been applied by the London Assay Office. The pendant weighs 7.4g and will be supplied with a 40cm (18in) sterling silver trace chain - contact me if you would prefer a different chain or a leather thong instead.
Your pendant will be presented in a smart gift box and sent to you by Royal Mail first class postal service.
Stock no. P65
A long-ago scuba diving trip and a visit to the Monterey aquarium which has a wonderful kelp forest display - huge fronds waving gently in the underwater currents while hundreds of fish swim in and out amongst them.
