Full description
A lightweight, floaty nuno felted scarf. The base material for this scarf is a silk voile that has been dyed pale blue. A fine layer of a blend of blue and turquoise shades of soft merino wool and bleached tussah silk fibres has been felted to one side of the scarf leaving the reverse unfelted allowing the silk fabric to be visible. The nuno felting process allows the wool fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it and shrinkage of the wool creates a crinkled effect to the silk adding extra texture.
This is a long scarf measuring approximately 190cm (75") x 55cm (21.5"). It would add to any outfit, smart or casual and is bound to be a talking point.
