This beautiful nuno felted scarf has been made using a base fabric of silk voile that has been dyed a pale blue colour. A fine layer of soft merino wool in blue and white shades blended with blue bamboo fibres has been applied to one surface and nuno felted which allows the wool fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it. The reverse of the scarf has been left unfelted allowing the silk fabric to be visible. Shrinkage of the wool during the felting process causes the silk to crinkle adding a textured effect to the scarf.
This is a long scarf, measuring approximately 195cm (77") x 55cm (21.5") which being made from all natural fibres will be cool in summer yet warm in winter. This scarf would be a perfect addition to any outfit, smart or casual and will be bound to make a statement. It is extremely lightweight and floaty.
